Hello! My name is Tania and I have been with the Canastota Central School District since 2015 and I could not be happier! I have one son, three dogs and two guinea pigs. In my free time I enjoy anything to do with the outdoors, particularly boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking.
I received my BS in Childhood Education from SUNY Cortland and my Masters of Science specializing in Elementary Mathematics from Walden University. Prior to coming to Canastatota, I taught for several years in Greenville, South Carolina as both a 2nd grade and 5th grade classroom teacher. Yes, I am a Clemson fan!
As a young child, I struggled greatly in mathematics and it became my least favorite subject. Once I became a teacher, my primary goal became to help my students embrace math, have fun with numbers and help give them the tools and strategies needed to be successful. Each and every one of us is different and we also learn differently as well. It's just a matter of finding out what works for us, and I am here to do that for your child.
Communication is the key to your child's success! Please email me with any questions or concerns you might have.
