Hello everyone!
Welcome to the new school year! I hope you all enjoyed a safe and happy summer. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ashley Haggerty and I am so excited to join the speech language therapy team at Canastota. I am happy to be working with your child this year as their speech-language pathologist (SLP)!
This is my third year working as a pediatric SLP and I complete professional development tasks annually in order to stay up to date on the latest evidence based practices. In my speech room we work hard to accomplish our speech and language goals, but I do my best to keep the activities as fun as possible. In addition, I will send home activities to help generalize and reinforce targeted skills because I am a firm believer that carryover is key to progress. Children who practice their skills frequently in various environments, inside and outside of school, typically progress more quickly with their goals.
I will be providing you with a schedule and any other relevant information as soon as everything is in place. The schedule is subject to change throughout the year, but I will do my best to keep you informed of changes as they occur.
