Meet Mrs. Palkovic

My teaching career in Canastota started in 2005! I teach art at Peterboro Street (K-1) and South Side (2-3) Elementary Schools.
I attended the State University at Oswego for six years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Ceramics and Sculpture and my Master’s Degree in Art Education. While there I was also a Resident Assistant, Assistant Hall Director and a Summer Conference Coordinator.
After graduating with my Masters I was hired by the Syracuse City School District, I worked there for two years then moved on to Owen D. Young. ODY is a small rural school near Herkimer, I was the art teacher for the entire K-12 school district! After an exciting year there I happily found my way to Canastota and have been here ever since.
I live in Canastota, NY with my family. My husband Kevin is a Social Studies teacher at Rome Free Academy, we have three children Michael, Joseph, Ellie and our dog Wilbur!
My favorite color is orange and my favorite animals are fish!
